You need to tap on each option and manually disable ads by ticking “Off”, “Yes”, or “No one”. “Ads on apps and websites off of the Facebook Companies”.“Ads based on my use of websites and apps”.
The next window gives you three options to choose from: Scroll down the following menu, tap Ads, and proceed to “Ad Settings”. Launch the app, hit the hamburger icon (the three horizontal lines in the upper right corner), and select Account settings. And again, you need to tamper with the in-app settings to remove or, at least, limit the number of ads. But some third-party apps like Facebook and YouTube will still keep showing you commercials.

After that, refresh the page containing the content you want to check out, and it should play normally. The extension adds a small red stop sign in the top right corner of your window. That’s all there is to it, you’re not required to restart Chrome in order to get Adblock Plus up and running. There’s a blue button in the top of the window that says “ Add to Chrome.” Click it, and the extension will automatically download. Then make a visit to the Chrome Web Store and the Adblock Plus Extension page.
